Participation Policy |

This is tracked as “Participation Hours”.
For 2026, the Participation Hour requirements are as follows:
*5U : Parents/guardians are expected to help out at each practice/game
*7U : 20 hours per family, these can be to help out your team (at practices & games) and/or the Association.
*9U -18U : 20 hours per family, of which at least 5 hours should be to help the Association (versus just your team).
*Single season teams (13U AAA, 15U AA, 15U AAA, 18U AAA/College Prep) :
30 hours per family, of which at least 10 hours should be to help the Association (versus just your team).
18U players can complete the hours in lieu of a parent/guardian.
*26U : 10 hours per family, 5 hours must be to help the Association (versus just your team)
When are you able to complete these hours?
For Summer teams, an additional 10 hours are required, of which at least 5 hours should be to help the Association, specifically at Tournaments.
For Fall teams, it is expected that you help your team, 13U & 15U families are to help with the take down of the fences at Kensington and Harwood.
How BBA families track their hours?
To sign up for Association Participation Hours, please visit the Track it Forward link below to find any upcoming roles that need to be assigned. The link is updated with new assignments on a regular basis.
To sign up for Team Participation Hours, please use TeamSnap to sign up for Assignments for each practice or game. Please use the Track it Forward link below to log your hours once completed.
Team Parents/Managers will be able to update you on the hours you have completed.
Participation deposits (cheques payable to BBA or Burnaby Baseball Association, or cash) will be collected for the following seasons:
Spring Season ($200) -returned in early July if fulfilled
Summer Season ($200) -returned in late August if fulfilled
Fall Season ($100) -returned in late October if fulfilled
If the required Participation Hours are not fulfilled by the end of the Fall Baseball Season, the Participation deposit will be cashed by October 31, 2025. Questions? [email protected]
