BBA’s winter indoor baseball training programs will concentrate on building our players’ foundational skills. Training is typically tailored to the age and developmental stage of the athletes.

9U (Under 9 Years Old)  - Wednesday 530p-7p | Gilpen Elem | Jan 14 - March 4  
9U (Under 9 Years Old)  - Thursday 530p-7p | Seaforth Elem | Jan 15 - March 5   (FULL)
• Focus: Fundamentals, fun, and engagement.
• Key Skills: Basic throwing, catching, hitting of a tee, running bases, simple fielding drills.
• Short stations with frequent rotation to maintain engagement
• Games and challenges to reinforce skills
• Introduction to basic rules and positions
Session Length: 1.5 hours $120.00

11U (Under 11 Years Old) - Wed 530p-7p or 7p-8:30p| Forest Grove Elem | Jan 7 - March 4 (no clinic Feb. 18 & 25) 
• Focus: Skill development, teamwork, and understanding game situations.
• Key Skills: Throwing mechanics, fielding techniques, defensive positioning, hitting & bunting
• Progressive throwing and catching exercises
• Varied hitting drills, stressing swing-path, weight transfer and point of contact
• Introduction to pitching and catching roles
• Simulated mini-games focusing on rules and decision-making
Session Length: 1.5 hours $115.00

13U/15U (Under 15 Years Old)  - Saturday 6p-8p | Confederation Park Lacrosse Box | Jan 10 - March 7th (no clinic Feb 14)
• Focus: Advanced skill development, competitive readiness, agility and footwork
• Key Skills: pitching and catching, complex defensive strategies, offensive situational play
• Hard-contact swings, advanced batting approaches (hit-and-run, bunting, situational hitting)
Session Length: 2 hours​ $245.00

Players wishing to tryout should be registered with BBA or  home association to be covered by BCMBA Insurance.  Tryout fee of $25.00 applies.
 
As a courtesy you must inform your home Association and Burnaby's President and/or 18U Coordinator that you are trying out for Burnaby's North Fraser Nationals 18U-CP team.  
 
If a player is unsuccessful on making the CP Roster and wishes to try out for a 18U AAA team, they will need to register separately with our partner at Vancouver Community Baseball. Please note as per BC  Minor Baseball Rules, you can only tryout for one team at a time.
