COACHING DEVELOPMENT

BBA requires all our coaches (Coed & Valkyries) to follow the Canadian National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) for baseball.

Initiation in Sport & Initiation in Baseball (Fundamentals) online modules are a first step on your coaching pathway in the NCCP. These online modules are the perfect way to prepare yourself to become a great coach.

*Note that Safe Sport eLearning is now a mandatory course to be taken by all our coaches, this is a new BCMBA rule. Please visit this link to complete.

BBA is also asking that our coaches to take the Concussion Awareness Training Tool: Click here

BCMBA has NCCP Clinics for coaches to complete  and we encourage coaches to start early in 9U as it does take time to complete these online sessions.

COACHING RESOURCES
Whilst many of these clinics are needed to continue to Westerns and Nationals per Baseball Canada’s NCCP requirements (13U-AA/15U-AA/AAA & 18U and up), our governing body requires our coaches to be trained to participate in post season (Summer Ball) teams 11U and up. Therefore coaches need to be properly trained/certified. We also feel that the NCCP clinics are valuable tools in our grassroots division as you continue your coaching path.
