     26U -Junior Mens

This is a single season team, with games starting mid-April to August

Field Dimensions: The base paths are set at 90 feet and the distance to the pitching rubber is set at 60 feet 6 inches. The fences are set at 285’ in left & right fields and 320’ in centre field, to a maximum of 320’ in left & right fields and 400’ in centre field. Games are 9-innings (with a minimum of 7-innings n event of a mercy.) Teams will have the option to play 9-man ball or batting everyone in line-up. However Fair-play rules are in effect where each player must get at least one at bat and play three defensive innings in field. This is a wood bat league (Players MUST supply their own bats.) Team will play other Associations within the Lower Mainland. Home Fields will be Central Park or Robert Burnaby (possibly outside fields if needed.) Team Roster – Maximum 25 players – Minimum 18 players

Early Bird Registration for the 26U division will be open until February 15 ($310.50). After this date the fee will be $345.  
Here is some general information for the upcoming season, more information to follow after the 26U Interlock meeting, date TBD.
  • YOB's 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001, and 2000.
    • maximum age of 25 (as of December 31, 2025).
    • allowed 2 over-age players (by one year YOB 1999).
      • maximum age of 26 (as of December 31, 2025).
      • not allowed to pitch.
      • no boundaries or releases required (Section 3, #6).
      • Female Player specific rules (if any questions, please let me know).
      • Support of league sanctioned events in the form of financial or volunteer commitments (Section 2 #6).
        • Volunteer Deposit Fee $100
          • Cheque or Cash (receipt will be provided - drop off at In-Person Sessions - see website and/or email blasts for information).
            • If you wish to Opt-Out of volunteering, you can choose to pay at time of registration and/or drop off cheque or cash during In-Person sessions.
        • 10 hours per family (5hrs. Association Hours).

  • 2025 Rules Attached for reference (2026 Rules will be updated after the 26U meeting).
  • Games/Practices are Wednesdays and Sundays.
    • subject to change for any rescheduled games/field availability.
    • potential Double Headers if needed.
  • Recommended Roster is 16-18.
    • Max roster is 24.
  • Deadline for commitment is April 1st for BCMBA field scheduler.
  • Season to start late April or early May through July.
    • Pre-season training to start mid-April.
    • Games are played in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley only.
      • 2025 had 17 teams and a 16 game schedule.
    • Round Robin Play-offs will begin late July.
      • 3-4 playoff games.
    • Finals - Tier 1 and 2 – August 8 -9th.
      • Host TBD.

There is a potential of two teams this season, so the sooner players are registered we can plan accordingly for schedules and uniforms.
