     15U -Bantam

            For players ages 14 & 15
The Bantam division is tiered into three levels (A, AA, AAA).  Both AAA and AA are single season competitive travel teams, while the “A” program is for the recreational player.

“AA & AAA” will play one continuous season from Spring through Summer.  The teams can play an interlocking schedule consisting of 20 to 25 games (depending on number of teams) against other associations.  All home games are played at Kensington Park while we travel to the other association parks for our away games.  Leads off are permitted and the balk rule is in play. Pitch count rules will be in effect to protect the young pitchers from injury.  All pitch counts will be according to BC  guidelines.

The base paths are set at 80 feet and the distance from home plate to the pitching rubber is set at 54 feet.  The fences are set at a minimum of 245’ in left & right fields and 280’ in center field, to a maximum of 270’ in left & right fields and 300’ in center field.  A regulation game is 7 innings and may not be called earlier unless it is a permitted reason.  Players are expected to help and support their team mates, and exhibit respect and good sportsmanship towards umpires, coaches and other players, win or lose.
